



Organizing an advanced and practical training series in artificial intelligence consisting of several levels 3july-3 Aug 2023
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Egypt is keen to qualify new generations to keep pace with the digital transformation accompanying the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and to benefit from artificial intelligence technologies in various development sectors, noting the importance of preparing generations of researchers and experts specialized in artificial intelligence. To place Egypt among the leading countries in adopting artificial intelligence, and to provide future generations with the skills and knowledge necessary for the future and advanced technologies.
In this context, the Electronics Research Institute, headed by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, closing ceremony of the activities of the Summer School for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation for Egyptian university students, where the fourth and fifth batches graduated from the school organized by the Institute within the framework of the practical program to train university youth in artificial intelligence technology.
Dr.. Sherine Abdel Qader said that the Institute’s organization of the summer school came within the framework of the state’s interest in basic sciences and building a strong scientific base, and in implementation of Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development 2030, which aims to create an environment that encourages science, technology and innovation, and stimulate the legislative environment that supports scientific research and linking it to industry.
The President of the Institute added that within the framework of supporting the Electronics Research Institute to spread scientific culture and simplify engineering sciences, the Institute offers a set of programs and initiatives implemented to discover and embrace scientific talent, and select and support innovators and creators in the early stages of education. To develop their capabilities and hone their talents, explaining that the Summer School for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation aims to create a new generation of young people capable of innovating and implementing projects with artificial intelligence applications, as well as training students from the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Science on realistic, practical artificial intelligence projects. With the aim of qualifying them for the modern requirements of the labor market, and opening new horizons for them to implement innovative graduation projects that keep pace with modern technology.
Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader referred to the Institute’s cooperation with the Digital Gathering Software Company, where 150 male and female students were trained from various universities in Egypt, including the universities of (Helwan, Mansoura, Nile National University, Galala, October for Modern Sciences and Arts, Egypt for Science and Technology, Al-Azhar University, Egyptian Chinese University, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Sheraton Branch, Nahda University, Matrouh University, Obour Higher Institute of Engineering, New Cairo Institute, and Imbaba Aviation Institute).
For his part, Eng. Khaled Naguib, Director General of the Digital Software Gathering, stated that the Gathering aims to provide training programs and practical projects for children and youth in various areas of digital transformation such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data analysis, virtual reality, and the fifth and sixth generation of phones. Portable.
The Director General of the Digital Software Cluster added that the fruitful cooperation between the two sides targeted many scientific and practical fields. To support digital transformation and information technology, applied training content on metaverse technologies is being prepared.
