An intensive training program Feasibility Studies for Emerging Project
Within the framework of the Electronics Research Institute’s implementation of its strategic plan, which aims to stimulate entrepreneurship for the purpose of linking the research sector with the various service and production sectors in the country to meet market requirements as well as creating an enabling environment for business financially, technologically and legally; To attract investment in modern technologies as one of the strategic goals of the Institute’s Science and Technology City, the Institute, in coordination with the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics and Legislation, trained a working team from legal, administrative and engineering affairs, in addition to some members of the Institute’s research staff as a first step to developing the capabilities and skills of these teams through participation. In an intensive training program entitled “Feasibility Studies for Emerging Projects” to provide that team with the necessary knowledge and skills required to evaluate the feasibility of projects and research outputs, as well as providing various consulting services to entrepreneurs and emerging companies.
More than 40 members of the research and administrative staff at the Electronics Research Institute, headed by Dr. Sherine Muhammad Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Institute, participated in this training program at the association’s headquarters.
Dr. Sherine Mohamed Abdel Qader Muharram stressed the importance of this training program as a beginning for developing the skills and capabilities of the institute’s research and administrative cadres in this field, in order to ensure the achievement of the goals of scientific research in Egypt, and enhance its economic value, by linking scientific research to industry, especially in light of the current economic conditions, Which requires increasing the proportion of local products and the importance of emerging companies in developing the national economy.
The President of the Electronics Research Institute also stressed the Institute’s keenness to train the Institute’s researchers, entrepreneurs and emerging companies on the skills necessary to evaluate the feasibility of research projects, whether prepared by researchers at the Institute (internal projects) or when applying for projects submitted by external parties or to establish companies based on modern technologies. Linking these projects to the (Egypt 2030) plan, and determining the extent of the benefits that will accrue to society from these projects, which increases the chances of success of these projects, manages research resources more efficiently, and leads to achieving better results, which contributes to achieving economic development.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics, and Legislation is an Egyptian scientific association founded in 1923, concerned with studying and researching economic, financial, and legislative issues in Egypt and the Arab world. The association aims to spread economic and cultural awareness among members of Egyptian society, and to contribute to the development of economic and financial policies in Egypt, in addition to exchanging scientific and cultural experiences with scientific societies in the world.
