Scientific and research cooperation between the Electronics Research Institute and University Malaysia Perlis
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of implementing the principles of the national strategy launched by the ministry, stressing that it supports the transformation of educational and research institutions into innovative institutions that contribute to attracting distinguished scientific and research cadres, and building a strong system that contributes to the development of these institutions, noting the importance of achieving the principle of communication between Elements of the higher education and scientific research system, whether internally or externally, as well as the principle of integration to support cooperation between various institutions.
In this context, Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Head of the Electronics Research Institute, Dr. Muzamil Jusoh from Universiti Malaysia Perlis; This is with the aim of studying the possibility and mechanisms of joint cooperation between the institute and the university.

Sherine pointed out that the visit came in line with the strategy of the Electronics Research Institute to enhance international research and scientific cooperation between research institutions and international higher education institutions, pointing to discussing the possibility of launching joint research projects aimed at providing solutions to the challenges of various sectors, especially industrial and agricultural, in addition to research in the fields of innovation and technology development. The President of the Institute pointed out that the two sides coordinated to sign a joint cooperation protocol between the university and the institute. During the visit activities, Dr. Muzamil Josoh made an inspection tour of the institute’s exhibition to inspect the research products, as well as the various central laboratories, including: the printed electronic circuit manufacturing laboratory, the modeling and design laboratory, the electronic waste processing laboratory, the research and manufacturing laboratory for lithium-ion batteries, the specific absorption rate measurement laboratory, the virtual and augmented reality laboratory, Laboratory for manufacturing and measuring millimeter wave circuits, as well as inspecting the laboratories of the institute’s ribbon circuits department.
Dr. praised Muzamil Gusoh praised the capabilities possessed by the Electronics Research Institute, which qualifies it to become a leading institute in the field of electronics, communications, information technology, and energy industries in the region. He also praised the research and projects that the institute is implementing, and expressed his admiration for the smart agriculture system project and projects related to detecting viruses using microwaves, as well as the RFID project, which It aims to preserve archaeological areas, as well as the Metaverse Project.

Sherine Muharram stressed the importance of such visits, which contribute to linking the institute with international universities, because of its great impact in exchanging scientific and research experiences, and developing the research and development capabilities and skills of the institute’s research staff.
