workshop among ERI, Industrial Modernization Center and Ventitude
Dr.. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received a report submitted by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Electronics Research Institute, about the organization of the Institute, in cooperation with the Industrial Modernization Center and Ventitude, a workshop within the “Iprenuer” initiative, in the presence of Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader, Eng. Amal Taha, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at the Industrial Modernization Center, and Eng. Tamer Ahmed, founder and director of Ventitude.
The report indicated that the "Iprenuer" initiative aims to involve research centers and institutes for the industrial sector within the national industrial and production projects, encourage local manufacturing and raise the quality of the Egyptian product in the field of electronic products. The initiative also seeks to support the establishment of start-up companies for researchers working in the research and academic sector; To enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector through research and development based on the concepts of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in order to address the challenges facing the industrial sector in the field of electronics, information and communication technology, and to improve production processes and raise the quality of products.
Dr. explained. Sherine Abdel Qader that the first phase of the initiative worked to support the basics of entrepreneurship in terms of developing the presented ideas and creating a business model for them with product management and development, while the second phase focused on cooperation and coordination with the industrial community, adding that the initiative resulted in a number of projects, namely: (Treatment unit project) to treat water resulting from sewage plants in cooperation with the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, and (Bring Project) to develop interactive engineering educational curricula that include programmed devices and games for children aged 5 to 16 years, and this project can serve parents Things, and those interested in home education, private and government schools, nurseries, academies and educational institutions, and (Project Kunix), which is concerned with the installation and programming of industrial robots.
As well as (Telous Project), which is a smart electricity meter without a charging card, (Project Cycles), which is charging stations for scooters and bikes with an application to activate the service, (Project Cyverdynamics), which is the manufacture of an electric scooter, and (Armetronics Project), which is a smart device to monitor Temperature, humidity and the effect of power outages, and (Project Conkerbot), which is the manufacture of a 3D printer for construction work, and (The Smart Glove Project), which is the manufacture of a glove that converts sign language into a readable language, which is useful for deaf and dumb schools and non-profit associations serving the same category, And (Mabeen Arabic project), which is an application for linguistic and grammatical correction, and (Rehabilitation Shoe Project), which is a shoe to treat bow-foot in children and can serve children’s orthopedic clinics, and finally (EgyPads project), which is a system that monitors conditions that affect agricultural crops with temporal and spatial accuracy; To help agricultural decision-making and can serve the farmer.
