As part of supporting the digital transformation in the justice sector, the Electronics Research Institute organizes a specialized training course titled "Empowering Legal Competencies with Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Today's Tools to Support the Justice Industry."
Based on the Electronics Research Institute's vision to enhance integration between technological progress and the legal system, and emphasizing the importance of empowering legal cadres with modern artificial intelligence tools, the Institute, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics, and Legislation, organized a specialized training course titled: "Empowering Legal Competencies with Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Today's Tools to Support the Justice Industry."
The course was held over two days, on June 18 and 19.
The course featured a combination of theoretical content and practical application. The first day was held virtually, while the second day was dedicated to practical training in one of the advanced technology labs at the Institute's headquarters in New Nozha. This provided participants with firsthand experience using generative artificial intelligence technologies in a sophisticated educational environment. The course aimed to develop the digital skills of legal professionals and enhance their readiness to deal with rapid digital transformations. It introduced them to the latest tools and applications of generative artificial intelligence (AI), and reviewed opportunities to employ them to support the justice system and achieve higher levels of efficiency and transparency in the performance of legal tasks.
The training was moderated by Dr. Abdel Azim Ghoneim, a digital transformation consultant and AI expert. He reviewed the basic concepts of generative AI and highlighted the most prominent advanced applications in the legal field. He also focused on training participants on creating effective prompts and interacting intelligently with systems, keeping pace with the requirements of modern legal work.
This course comes within the framework of a joint cooperation protocol between the Electronics Research Institute and the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics, and Legislation, which aims to build the capacity of legal professionals and prepare them to deal with the challenges of the digital age. In her closing remarks, Professor Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Moharam, President of the Electronics Research Institute, emphasized that digital transformation in the justice sector is no longer a luxury, but rather a necessity dictated by the realities of reality. She emphasized that empowering legal professionals with artificial intelligence tools represents a fundamental step toward achieving more effective and equitable smart justice. She also noted the Institute's commitment to ensuring that such programs serve as an effective bridge between scientific development and societal needs, serving the state's vision of building an integrated digital society. The course concluded with the distribution of certificates of participation to the trainees, in the presence of Professor Dr. Sherine Mohamed Abdel Qader Moharam, President of the Institute, and Dr. Farag Al-Khalfawy, Chairman of the Conferences Committee of the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics, and Legislation.
