



Organizes the qualifying competitions for the African Innovation and Technology Forum
Reviewed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a report submitted by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Head of the Electronics Research Institute, said that the Institute is organizing the qualifying competitions for the African Innovation and Technology Forum in its third edition, within the framework of the Institute’s support for technology, science, innovation, the electronics industry and modern technologies, and its interest in youth and children who are innovators and creators.
The report explained that the qualifiers for the qualifying competitions for the African Innovation and Technology Forum at the Institute were held under the slogan “A New Generation for a Advanced Africa,” in the presence of 375 male and female students of various age levels. To compete in robotics competitions, electronic games, technological application design, and advanced innovative projects.
The report pointed out that 15 teams have qualified to represent Egypt in the finals of the forum competitions in Dubai 2022, within the framework of joint cooperation between the Electronics Research Institute and Technospace.
Dr. Sherine Muharram stressed that this year’s African Innovation and Technology Forum serves Africa’s sustainable development goals, and addresses the role of technology and artificial intelligence in developing the health, agriculture, education, and industry sectors in Africa, with the participation of 16 African countries.
It is worth noting that the first edition of the forum was held in Luxor, with the participation of 50 teams from 16 African countries, and the second edition of the forum was held at the Electronics Research Institute, with the participation of 80 teams from 16 African countries, from different age stages ranging from the age of 5 years until the age of University education; With the aim of searching for scientific and practical solutions in the field of the Internet of Things, solving problems, and designing solutions, including components and programming in the fields of agriculture, industry, health, real estate, and smart cities, while learning the basics of entrepreneurship.
