



Visit of Dr. Hala Abu Al-Saad, MP in the House of Representatives and Undersecretary of the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee
Visit of Representative Dr. Hala Abu Al-Saad, Deputy Minister of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Committee of the Electronics Research Institute to discuss ways to support areas of development, and to study cooperation mechanisms and services that the Institute can provide to civil and industrial society in general, and to Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate in particular. The representative was received by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Head of the Electronics Research Institute. Due to the importance of spreading awareness and the culture of safe disposal of electronic waste, the two sides agreed that the Institute would train a number of cadres using the curriculum prepared by the Institute, within the cooperation agreement between the Institute, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the CEDARI Organization. The two sides also discussed mechanisms for supporting technological incubators related to the Institute’s fields, as well as Cooperation in the field of smart precision agriculture.On the sidelines of the visit, MP Dr. Hala Abu Al-Saad, accompanied by Dr. Sherine Muharram, and the leaders of the Electronics Research Institute visitedMr. Lamia Al-Sharif, Director of the Future Technology Project of the Future Businesswomen’s Association, and Mr. Marwa Amara, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Technospace Company, the institute’s research products exhibition, as well as some central laboratories, including: the Printed Electronic Circuits Manufacturing Laboratory, the Modeling and Designs Laboratory, and the Waste Treatment Laboratory. Electronic, research and manufacturing laboratory for lithium-ion batteries, laboratory for measuring the specific absorption rate, laboratory for virtual and augmented reality, laboratory for manufacturing and measuring millimeter wave circuits.
She praised Dr. Hala Abu Al-Saad praised the enormous capabilities that the Electronics Research Institute possesses in terms of central laboratories, infrastructure and technology, which confirms the interest of the state and political leadership in the importance of providing support and investment in scientific research in Egypt. She also expressed her admiration for the products, especially the smart agriculture project that holds a patent and intellectual property rights, noting the importance of Its application and dissemination in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate and the rest of the governorates of the Republic. Given the role that agriculture plays in maximizing the national economy, and the necessity of shifting from traditional agriculture to the so-called agricultural industry based on information and communications technology.At the conclusion of the activities, Dr. Sherine Muharram expressed her happiness with this visit, especially since Representative Hala Abu Al-Saad is considered one of the influential female figures in Egypt and Africa in supporting women’s issues at the social level.
