Cooperation protocol with Alexandria University
Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, and Dr. Sherine Muharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, signed a joint cooperation protocol with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the fields of exchanging and publishing scientific research and studies and establishing a partnership that contributes to achieving sustainable development in implementation of Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy 2030, as well as About cooperation in the fields of creativity, innovation, marketing and promoting the activities of each party to the other, implementing training programs and joint workshops, and empowering young people in the field of scientific research, industry and entrepreneurship, in the presence of Dr. Hassan Nadir, former president of the university, and the deans of the faculties of medicine, engineering, science, computers and data sciences. , Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, and representatives of the Electronics Research Institute.
Dr. Qansouh stressed that Alexandria University is adopting an ambitious strategic plan aimed at developing the educational process, providing the appropriate environment for learning, and raising the level of the university’s cadres of researchers and faculty members through continuous training, as well as encouraging enrollment in graduate programs for college graduates to continue their studies after graduation, in addition to supporting cooperation with Local and international research centers, noting that the university has a strong technological environment and supports modern information technology in it, for the purpose of employing and keeping pace with technological development in the research and academic processes. Qanswa explained that raising the efficiency of the university’s technological and information infrastructure comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s interest in basic sciences and building a base. A strong scientific university whose objectives include creating an encouraging environment for science and technology, preparing scientific cadres and conducting joint research between the two sides in a way that serves society and the Egyptian state. It is implemented within the university according to a well-thought-out plan, confirming the university’s direction towards establishing a smart campus based on digital transformation to be a fourth generation university
While Dr. Sherine Muharram confirmed that she is proud and honored to cooperate with Alexandria University, which is one of the most prestigious Egyptian universities, stressing that the protocol comes within the framework of conducting studies and theoretical and applied research in advanced technology in the field of electronics and preparing researchers distinguished by the required scientific excellence and industrial experience necessary to be able to solve problems. Technological science facing society in the field of electronics and carrying out basic and applied research in various electronic fields. She indicated that the agreement aims to support the economy and increase investment opportunities in the outputs of scientific research and entrepreneurship, especially in the field of digital transformation and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
While Dr. Hassan Nadir stressed that the agreement aims to develop scientific research in Egypt, link scientific research with industry, exchange expertise and technical and scientific consultations between the two parties, maximize the benefit from the research laboratories of the two sides, and establish joint research projects in the fields of electronics, information technology, communications, and renewable energy.
