



Signing a contract with the Digital Gathering Software Company
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of cooperation with companies and industrial bodies to provide appropriate training for Egyptian university students and young researchers. To prepare them for the needs of future labor markets, pointing out that Egypt has a clear plan to support science, technology and innovation in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
In this context, Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Electronics Research Institute, announced that the Institute had signed a contract with the “Digital Software Assembly” company. With the aim of cooperation between the two parties in the field of training for young researchers, university graduates, STEM school students, and pre-university school students; In the field of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, and other fields, at the institute’s headquarters in New Nozha.The head of the institute explained that the contract comes within the framework of the state’s interest in basic sciences and building a strong scientific base, and in implementation of Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development 2030, one of the goals of which is to create an encouraging environment for science, technology and innovation.
Dr. Sherine Muharram indicated that the cooperation between the institute and the company came in light of the Electronics Research Institute’s support for spreading scientific culture and simplifying engineering sciences, as the institute offers a set of programs and initiatives implemented to discover and embrace scientific talent, and select and support innovators and creators in the early stages of education to develop their capabilities and hone their talents.
For his part, Engineer Khaled Naguib, Director General of the Digital Software Cluster, stated that this cooperation aims to provide training programs and practical projects for school students, university youth, graduates and researchers in various fields of digital transformation such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data analysis, and virtual reality. And the fifth and sixth generation of mobile phones. The signed contract also aims to support aspects of cooperation in many scientific and practical fields to support digital transformation and information technology.
Within the framework of the mechanisms for implementing the contract between the two parties, an action plan has been drawn up to begin next March, by launching an initiative to train pre-university education students on artificial intelligence software technology. With the aim of creating a new generation of young people capable of innovation and conducting projects in artificial intelligence applications, in addition to training students of the faculties of engineering and computer science in Egyptian universities on practical artificial intelligence projects; It contributes to qualifying them for the modern requirements of the labor market and opening new horizons for implementing innovative graduation projects that keep pace with modern technology for the labor market.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Hisham Abdel Hadi, the training program coordinator from the institute, and Dr. Ahmed Fawzi, a member of the company’s board of directors.
It is worth noting that the Electronics Research Institute is an expert house capable of providing advice to the industrial and production sectors, as well as carrying out semi-industrial applied projects in the field of electronics in the stages that precede the process of implementing major projects, in addition to cooperating with international and regional bodies specialized in the various electronic fields. Embracing innovators and geniuses through the technological incubator program and providing them with financial and technical support, as the institute follows the Science and Technology Valley called “Science and Technology City for Electronics Research and Industry” as the first science and technology valley in the Arab Republic of Egypt in accordance with the Science, Technology and Innovation Incentives Law.
