Dr.Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research received a report submitted by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, about the institute’s signing of contracts for several internal research projects, within the framework of the first call for fast track research projects, and according to the institute’s initiative; To finance a number of research projects whose implementation period does not exceed one year, and have applied outputs that can be marketed in the local industry.
The report indicated that the signing of contracts for research projects comes within the framework of the institute's interest in scientific research and its applications in industry, and to motivate members of the institute's research body; To present internal research projects with tangible, marketable and beneficial research outputs.
The report added that the General Administration of Research Projects at the Institute organized a workshop to present the ideas of advanced projects, and to present the goal of each project and its beneficiaries to the Institute's Projects Committee, which in turn arbitrated the proposals submitted and made the necessary adjustments to reach the optimal model for each project. of projects to be the start of a new initiative; To support short-term projects that are quick to implement and have an economic return.
The report stated that the accepted research projects are: a sensor project for monitoring vital signs for healthcare applications and measuring the level of water in the human lung, a project to design and manufacture a scale network analyzer, a project for a portable device for directed heating to eliminate red palm weevil inside palm trunks, and a controlled design and implementation project. Low Cost in Brushless DC Motor for Electric Wheelchair Application, Micro and Unsaturable Inverter Project for Power Frequency AC Measurement, Innovative Design Project based on Hybrid System of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Combined with Autonomous Solar Panels to Promote Renewable Electric Energy And a project to implement a system to achieve more rationalization of electrical energy consumed in lighting systems within the buildings of the Electronics Research Institute.
On her part, Dr. Sherine Moharram, indicated that the accepted projects were carried out with the participation of a team from the institute in its various departments, as well as research teams from abroad, comprising an elite of researchers and scientists from various faculties, including the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University, and the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology at Delta Technology University. The College of Engineering and Technology at Badr University, and the College of Engineering at Canadian University, in addition to a number of experts in the field of industry.
It is worth noting, that Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of Delta Technology University, witnessed the signing ceremony of two research projects in cooperation between the Electronics Research Institute and Delta Technology University, in the presence of Dr. Arabi Kishk, Vice President of Delta Technology University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Salem, Dean of the College of Industry and Energy Technology at the university.
