Opening of Electrokids nursery for children
In confirmation of the service and community role of the Electronics Research Institute... the opening of the “Electrokidz” nursery for the children of the institute’s employees
Within the framework of the Electronics Research Institute’s interest in supporting and providing community services to its members with family responsibilities, and in line with the laws and what was approved by the International Labor Organization regarding the protection of maternity in the field of work as a basic and necessary work right to enhance the health of mothers and children, Prof. Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Head of the Electronics Research Institute, “Electrokidz” nursery for the children of the institute’s members from the private and public staff.
During the activities, Prof. Dr. Sherine Muharram said that the opening of the nursery came in implementation of the provisions regarding the care of working mothers contained in the Civil Service Law and the Children’s Law, and in light of the Minister of Manpower and Immigration’s Resolution No. 121 of 2003 regarding the provision of nurseries for the children of female workers in order to provide them with appropriate care.
The head of the institute indicated that the nursery has been equipped with the latest necessary equipment, ensuring that safety standards and appropriate health requirements are met, pointing out that the nursery is equipped with surveillance cameras. To always check on the children, she explained that the nursery’s capacity reaches 40 children in the age group from 3 months to 4 years. The nursery includes a study hall, a family room, an isolation room, and a secured play area, in addition to the use of smart display screens, pointing out that joining the nursery It is also available to the children of workers and is not limited to the children of female workers only, out of the Institute’s keenness to support its members and provide them with an appropriate climate.
For his part, Major General Khairy Hussein, Head of Al-Nuzha District, praised the distinguished location of the Electronics Research Institute, praising the Institute’s opening of the nursery, which contributes to providing means of care for the children of the Institute’s members, to enable them to achieve a balance between work and family life, praising the Institute’s role in continuous encouragement and providing means of support and care. For its members and their families.
Dr. confirmed. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Director of the Cairo Directorate, stressed the importance of benefiting from the Institute’s capabilities in projects for female breadwinners, through the Institute organizing training courses for women and children on assembling components of electronic devices, stressing the importance of supporting cooperation relations between the Nozha Department and the Institute, praising the Institute’s adherence to standards. Civil Defense in security and safety in the nursery in terms of providing fire extinguishers, alarms, as well as surveillance cameras.
The opening activities were attended by Major General Engineer Khairy Hussein, Head of Al-Nuzha District, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Director of the Cairo Directorate, Mrs. Hiam Al-Azzazi, General Director of the Social Solidarity Department in Al-Nuzha, Mrs. Noura Ahmed Mohamed, Family and Childhood Specialist in the Al-Nuzha Department, a group of gentlemen heads of departments and specialized laboratories at the Institute, and an elite group of members of the private and public staff at the Institute.
At the conclusion of the opening activities, Dr. Sherine Daraa of the Institute, the head of the Nuzha district, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Director General of the Social Solidarity Administration in Nuzha, and the Family and Childhood Specialist in the Nuzha Administration, who praised the distinguished standard of the nursery, especially in the use of modern and smart educational methods in accordance with the vision of the Institute, and the attendees appreciated the use of purposeful cartoon episodes, including the series “Light and the Gateway to History,” and other episodes prepared through the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
