As part of the Electronics Research Institute's vision to support innovation, encourage applied scientific research, and enhance the role of technology in economic development, the institute participated in the RiseUp Summit Egypt 2025, held from May 8 to 10. This conference is considered one of the most prominent investment exhibitions and entrepreneurship platforms in the Middle East. Dr. Sherine Moharam, President of the Institute and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Science and Technology City for Electronics Research and Manufacturing, explained that the Institute's participation in this event is a unique opportunity to showcase innovations and promising opportunities in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship. She explained that the Institute participated with a group of applied research projects developed by researchers and professors at the Institute, which reflect a clear trend towards innovating locally-made technological solutions. The most prominent of these projects were a device for treating palm weevils, locally produced lithium batteries, virtual reality glasses, and a thermal sensor for cars.
