ERI Approves First-Phase Summer Training Certificates and Opens Second-Phase Registration
The Electronics Research Institute (ERI) has approved the certificates of completion for participants who successfully completed the first phase of its 2026 Summer Field Training Program. The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Sherine Mohamed Abdelkader Moharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, and supervised by Prof. Mahmoud Salem, Head of the High Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Department and Chairman of the Institute's Training Committee. Approximately 600 undergraduate students from faculties of engineering, technological universities, and higher engineering and technological institutes participated in the first phase. The approved certificates will be distributed to trainees in the coming period.
The program reflects ERI's commitment to developing and empowering young talent by providing hands-on training within an advanced research and technological environment. It aims to enhance participants' practical skills while bridging the gap between academic education and labor market requirements. Each trainee completes a one-month program comprising 60 training hours delivered over 12 training days, offering an integrated learning experience that combines theoretical instruction with practical laboratory applications at the Institute.
The first phase featured specialized training tracks in several advanced technological fields, including FPGA Design and Implementation, Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, Robotics and Computer Vision, Nanotechnology and Energy Applications, Microwave Engineering, Photonics and Optical Communications, Smart Building Management Systems, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design and Manufacturing, Microcontrollers and Industrial Control (PLC), Cybersecurity, and Applied Artificial Intelligence for Natural Language Processing (NLP). These courses were delivered by a distinguished group of ERI researchers, experts, and faculty members.
As part of the program's continuation, ERI has announced that registration remains open for the second phase, which commenced on 25 July, while the third phase is scheduled to begin on 25 August. Through its three phases, the program aims to train more than 1,500 students from universities across Egypt, further strengthening ERI's role in providing specialized training and preparing highly qualified professionals in advanced technology fields.
