Call for Applications for the Outstanding Scientific Publication Award
The Scientific Excellence Committee of the Institute is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Outstanding Scientific Publication Award for research published in internationally recognized scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database or in the Institute’s scientific journal.
Eligible publications must have been fully published in the journal and must include a valid volume and issue number. Applications are open for publications made during the first half of 2026, covering the period from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

The Committee is also pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Patent Award for researchers who obtained a local or international patent during the same period, from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

Important Guidelines
1. Applicants are requested to carefully read all instructions and notes provided in the application forms and comply with the stated requirements. Applications should not be submitted for research that has only been preliminarily published, or for publications in journals that are not indexed in Scopus or are not published in the Institute’s scientific journal.
2. Applications will be accepted for 15 days from the date of this announcement. Applicants are kindly requested to adhere to the specified submission period to enable the Committee to complete its work efficiently and without delay.
3. If a research paper has more than one co-author from the Institute, the researchers should coordinate among themselves and submit one application form listing the full names of all participating Institute researchers exactly as stated on their national ID cards.
4. Applications must be submitted in person, accompanied by:
A printed copy of the research paper as fully published in the journal.
A printed copy of the patent certificate.

The Committee emphasizes that these valuable awards have been established as an incentive to encourage all researchers to achieve outstanding scientific publications in internationally recognized journals and periodicals, while also encouraging them to protect their intellectual property rights.
These efforts contribute to enhancing the Institute’s scientific standing and, in turn, strengthening Egypt’s international standing in the field of outstanding scientific research and publication.
